Analyst Preç Zogaj sees the May 11 elections as a match between Sali Berisha and Edi Rama.

During the "Opinion" show this Thursday, he was asked directly by journalist Blendi Fevziu whether the Democratic Party leader Berisha could defeat Prime Minister Rama.

According to Zogaj, the DP has a chance to win if Berisha paves his own way, referring here to the fact that he continues to be sanctioned by the US.

Preç Zogaj:  I think that this system as it is built and as it is made is a scam with a part that is the patricians who are appointed and the playback that has to collect votes for the patrician. This system is a system of mayors.

Blendi Fevziu:  Who seems to be favored in the Preç elections? The point is, can he defeat Edi Rama with this coalition?

Preç Zogaj:  The match is between Sali Berisha and Edi Rama. They have chosen themselves. The DP has always made the mistake that its strength lies in the individual, not in the masses.

Blendi Fevziu:  Can Sali Berisha defeat Edi Rama?

Preç Zogaj:  I left this for last. I think the answer to this question depends on what will happen until the elections because Berisha is facing the challenge of opening his path. To open the closed path because even now as we speak it turns out to be closed. Whether Sali Berisha will be able to open his own path until the elections or not is the first question related to his sanctions in the US and this has an impact. I therefore hope that he will remove it because there are many Democrats who have stood by the positions they have for this dividing line.

Blendi Fevziu:  I asked you for an answer, Preç, can you give it to me or not?

Preç Zogaj:  If he doesn't pave the way, he can't. And many other things will depend on events that may occur. If Sali Berisha doesn't pave his own way, he will go towards meeting his truth. If he pave the way, he has a chance to win.
