Beef taskebab

Ingredients :

500 g beef
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
2 ripe tomatoes
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 teaspoon red pepper powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 medium potatoes
1 carrot
1 bay leaf 1
cup water or broth
1 teaspoon fresh parsley
Salt to taste

Preparation :

In a pot, heat the olive oil and fry the meat until it turns a light brown color. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, red pepper powder, pepper and salt. Mix well and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add the potatoes and carrots and continue sautéing for 2-3 minutes.

Then add the water or meat broth, bay leaves and cover the pot with a lid. Let it simmer on low heat for about 40-50 minutes, until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened. Serve the taskebap warm with fresh bread, garnished with chopped parsley.
