"We believe that poverty and corruption can be defeated"/ Basha in Unit 5, Tirana: The Euro-Atlantic Coalition's Program, for a fairer, more livable Albania with opportunities for all

The political leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, accompanied by parliamentary candidates Shpresa Faslia and Rajna Tullumani, held a meeting in Branch 5 of Tirana, where the May 11 elections, the economic program and the commitment to justice and good governance were discussed.
During the conversation with citizens, Basha focused particularly on the social and economic problems caused by long-standing misgovernance, emphasizing that Albania needs a policy that serves the citizens and not a handful of corrupt individuals.
"Government corruption is the main obstacle to Albania's economic development. Edi Rama is responsible for this. The solution is not patches, but a radical change," Basha said, emphasizing that the Euro-Atlantic Coalition's program aims to shift the focus to citizens and the real economy.
At the core of this program is support for the Albanian family, which bears the brunt of the economic crisis. Basha presented the Family Welfare Fund, through which concrete support is proposed: 2,000 euros for each newborn baby, 20,000 euros for the third child and full coverage of the interest on the housing loan for 30,000 young couples. In addition, economic assistance for families in need will be doubled, payments for people with disabilities will be 70% of the minimum wage and inclusion in the status of orphans will be expanded.
Another important pillar is the economic empowerment of women. A €5 million grant will be made available for the creation of 1,000 new businesses by women entrepreneurs, as well as support for women and girls in the handicraft and agricultural sectors, through direct facilities and financing.
Basha underlined that the economy will also be supported through clear fiscal policies such as: a 9% flat tax, the abolition of the “Rama tax” on fuel, the reduction of obligations for small businesses and the elimination of privileges for oligarchs. “We have a clear program that speaks of justice, prices, salaries, supporting families and an economy that gives opportunities to everyone. With a team of professionals and honest people, we believe that Albania can become better”, he said.
Basha added that during this campaign he will be in every neighborhood, street and alley of the capital to listen to citizens and offer them real solutions. At the end of the meeting, he called on citizens to believe in Albania and to vote on May 11 for the only alternative that brings real change: the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, number 4 on the ballot.
