Blerina Gjylameti challenges Rama, receives vote counting footage from the CEC
Blerina Gjylameti managed to win the mandate in Tirana with votes within the country, but the result was overturned with votes from the diaspora, passing Olta Xhaçka with a 140-vote advantage, thus taking her seat in the Assembly.
But, Gjylameti claims that votes were stolen within the party and for this reason yesterday he made a request to the Central Election Commission to make available the video footage of the vote counting.
Given this situation, Edi Rama sent them a message prohibiting them from complaining and asking them to withdraw their requests from the CEC.
However, journalist Ervin Koçi told Euronews Albania that Blerina Gjylameti, unlike the other 3 socialists Etilda Gjonaj, Xhemal Qefalia and Frrok Gjini, has obtained the footage requested by the CEC with the vote counting.
" Taking the footage doesn't mean you'll complain, you can view it and keep it."
Qefalia has withdrawn, Gjonaj has withdrawn, and Frrok Gjini has also withdrawn this afternoon. Taking the picture does not constitute a complaint.
"The possibility that such a major maneuver was made in the counting groups seems very remote to me ," he said.
