The opposition and the Freedom Party remain the past, the priority is the future and the electoral campaign after being included as a candidate on the open lists of the Socialist Party.

For Endrit Brahimllari, his past with the Freedom Party is in the past, as is its leader Ilir Meta, who, although he has accused him, states that time will reveal the truth that they do not stand.

Invited to Report TV's "Studio Live", the majority candidate for Tirana said that the Socialist Party does not discuss a simple majority in these elections, as it seeks a deep victory to give Albanians a European passport and EU membership.

Regarding the opposition, he stated that it has closed in on lists of loyal or trusted candidates for mayors, and their names clearly show that the opposition is not fighting for rotation and causes, but to maintain its current positions.


"I haven't listened to them for a while, I'm not even interested, I'm focused on the future and the citizens and I've left the past in the past. Meta's accusations? I said I don't deal with the past. But answering, with maximum responsibility I have nothing to do with Meta's accusations. Let's be patient and wait until it will be clear who is involved and who is not in those issues," Brahimllari said to moderator Arbër Hitaj.
He described the SP as an electoral machine and the approach to the majority came after the signals that the party gave to the new generation, as 60% of the names in the next parliament will be precisely young people.

"Now I feel good, I have started a campaign, I also feel indebted for what has happened. The objective is to surpass the result of the past elections. The SP has set an ambitious objective, because if we want to close the negotiations and membership in the EU, we need participation and voting and massive support, beyond the left and the right, to secure the European passport. It is no news to say now that the SP is an electoral machine, organized and disciplined, that works every day, engaged and in communication with citizens. The SP is ambitious and has an advantage, because it has combined the lists for a deep victory in all districts. The inclusion of the new generation and the European objective will bring results. But even the old figures of the SP are on the ground to secure votes", he continues the political argument about the campaign and the lists.
As for the opposition, he shared the opinion that it has closed itself to closed lists, without ambition for rotation and without causes, removing even its emblematic figures, who could help it.

"On the other hand, the opposition has put forward lists conceived in such a way as to protect their role in the opposition, but not political rotation. If they wanted rotation, there would be public figures defending the opposition's cause and they have not been included. The signals from the SP about the new generation and the inclusion of young people were decisive for me as well. The SP is open to everyone, it has increased the base of inclusion, beyond the left and the right. While the opposition is closed in the closed list, the names and not the cause. Meanwhile, the SP is also bringing new names to Parliament, where 60% will be new figures, it reads opinions, reflects and responds to citizens", says Brahimllari for Report TV.
For him, the opposition does not reflect after repeated losses and this creates an inappropriate situation in relation to the citizen. According to him, the mayors make lists with people they trust.

"I was part of that front, I defended and gave the messages. When you see that you lose once, twice and beyond, you have to reflect. Closing the rotation does not bring it, it has to be opened, reflected. The list for deputies is not conceived on the basis of the trust you have in the individual. Or it introduces representatives who do not have votes", underlines the former PL representative, who is now competing with the majority in the May 11 elections.
