Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, in a public communication this Thursday in the presence of journalists, spoke about the voting process, up to its closure.
Celibashi said for the first time that during the election days and following them, the CEC website had several cyberattacks, which according to him were all from outside and not random, but organized.
" The CEC platforms, including the registration platform, have been found to be under cyberattacks. We have communicated with the relevant institutions, such as those responsible for cybersecurity and those related to legal prosecution, whenever they have been identified."
These were not amateur attacks, but organized and sophisticated, not random, all from abroad.
"Comparable to attacks that other countries have had ," he said.
