Celibashi reacts to the DP's denunciation of the "Bulgarian

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, reacted today from the premises of Tirana's Olympic Park regarding a denunciation by the Democratic Party on suspicions of vote manipulation in CEAZ no. 40, through what is known as the "Bulgarian train" phenomenon.

According to the DP, ballots with obvious irregularities, including changes in the color of the ink, were found, which do not match the official ballots distributed by the CEC. The party has filed an official request to secure video footage of the counting center.

Celibashi stated that he had been publicly informed about this denunciation and guaranteed that the CEC would make all necessary materials available to all political entities, including the footage requested by the DP.

“If this has happened, we are facing a criminal offense,” said Celibashi. “It is time to have the focus we need, to give the deserved response to this case, if it is proven that the phenomenon of the ‘Bulgarian train’ existed, of bringing in ballots from abroad and taking out the real ballots from the one who sponsored this.”

He emphasized that transparency is the CEC's priority and any suspected case will be treated with maximum seriousness in cooperation with investigative bodies.
