During an electoral meeting in Lezha, Prime Minister Edi Rama joked with the political leader of this region, Ulsi Manjë.
The protests came after Minister Manja declared that Edi Rama will be the pride of the Albanian nation when Albania sits at the EU table.
"The Prime Minister not only makes us proud in the international arena, but tomorrow when we sit at the EU table, Edi Rama will be the pride of the Albanian nation. Don't forget the number 5 on the ballot, Edi Rama prime minister, fourth mandate of the SP ," said Manja.
In response, Rama said: "First of all, I want to make it clear that the latter was Ulsi's. Not that the SP will not get a fifth mandate. But for my part, I speak for myself. This needs to be clarified that Ulsi is the Minister of Justice, yes, the prosecutor, yes, from Dibra, yes, they will say he knows one thing, but he doesn't know."
Rama continued by saying: "I am glad to be in this hall today, which is as befits Pjerini's (Ndreu) ambition for Lezha. I have come often, we have had enthusiastic meetings, we have achieved very beautiful victories, but I was troubled by the fact that the hall was in a state of disrepair. But today I am glad that it is not only the appearance of the youth of Lezha but also this environment that is at the height of Pjerini's for Lezha.
"Until May 11, it will be very often the case that the deputies who are here will talk about everything we have done, whether at the national or regional level. Meanwhile, in Mirdita we have done a lot of work, but the leadership of the Municipality there is not ours and it will be an opportunity to talk about what we will do next."
