EMRI/ Molotov cocktail clash at the Prime Minister's Office, among those prosecuted is a Democratic Party official

The police have provided details regarding the people detained in connection with the protest held yesterday in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
The Blues report that four people have been arrested and 7 others have been prosecuted, after they threw petrol bombs (Molotov cocktails) and opposed police officers during yesterday's protest.
" Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen Ervin Minarolli, serving as organizational secretary of the political entity Democratic Party, since in his capacity as organizational representative of this entity, he did not comply with the obligations to identify the persons responsible for the smooth conduct of the rally, based on Law No. 8773, "On Gatherings", Article 10 ," the police announced.
Announcement:
On 22.12.2025, at around 18:00, the political entity Democratic Party held a rally on the “Deshmorët e Kombit” boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. During the rally, some of the participants opposed State Police officers who were scheduled to serve to guarantee public order and security, and threw fuel (Molotov cocktails) at them.
As a result of the investigative actions, 11 citizens were identified who committed illegal actions during the rally. The following:
-the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: AK, 39 years old, ES, 36 years old, Xh. D., 38 years old and AH, 38 years old;
-criminal proceedings were initiated against the following citizens: BF, EM, MM, Sh. D., KP, RB and a 16-year-old.
Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen Ervin Minarolli, serving as organizational secretary of the political entity Democratic Party, since in his capacity as organizational representative of this entity, he did not comply with the obligations to identify the persons responsible for the smooth conduct of the rally, based on Law No. 8773, "On Gatherings", Article 10.
The 3 police officers who were injured during the rally received treatment at the hospital and are out of danger.
The investigative group continues its work to identify other citizens who may have committed illegal acts during the rally held yesterday.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
