Gjergji Nika: "Property, the heavy chain around the neck of Albania's economy"

In a strong reaction on social media, Gjergji Nika, the Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidate for the Vlora region, has denounced the unresolved property problem, considering it the main obstacle to Albania's economic development.
"Albania is the only country in Europe that has not yet resolved the property issue. The greatest responsibility lies not only with the political opponent, but also with the Democratic Party, which has a historical obligation to resolve this difficult situation," Nika declares. According to him, 80% of Albanian property owners do not possess property titles, thus becoming the most serious obstacle to the national and family economy.
Gjergji Nika emphasizes the importance of a deep property reform, assessing that without solving this problem, the country's economy remains stagnant and without development prospects. He proposes full compensation for owners, relying on legal mechanisms that guarantee property as a sacred and inalienable right. "The 100% return of property to its owner is the first step towards a modern and European Albania," adds Nika.
The Euro-Atlantic Coalition has absolute priority on the final resolution of this issue, taking on the financial and legal burden for full compensation of the owners. "Albania can survive without solving this problem, but it can never develop without the property in the hands of the legitimate owners," concludes candidate Gjergji Nika.
*Gjergji Nika, candidate for MP of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, is currently the Chairman of the Democratic Party - Euro-Atlantic Democrats Branch in Vlora. He is committed to the fight against corruption and the promotion of social and economic justice.

Albania is the only country that has not solved the property problem. Who is to blame for this? Of course, we have our political opponent at the tip of our tongues, and he is undoubtedly the culprit.
But the biggest culprit for solving the property problem is the Democratic Party.
This party must take historical responsibility for not solving, and even for further tarnishing the property problem, starting with the deepest apology to every owner.
But apology is not enough!!
We, as a right-wing force, believe in property and its sanctity. Above all, we believe that over 80% of Albanian owners, who today do not have their property papers in hand, are the heaviest chain on the neck of the Albanian economy.
Imagine an owner who today is called a former owner and does not return his property, even though it is free.
Imagine someone else whose property has been seized and who is told that we will compensate him with 3, 4, or 5% of the market value.
Meanwhile, even the one who has seized the property is also turning to legalizations, to the property title directories of 7501.
80 out of 100 Albanians do not have property papers.
We are not in the Middle Ages, we are worse.
This is a problem that modern societies have solved for 600 years, and in Albania it continues to weigh on the balance of the national economy and the balance of household economies.
There is no more important reform for European Albania than to solve once and for all, the insecurity of property and to return, in one way or another, 100%, the property to its owner.
The bill to return the full value to the owners expropriated by the communist regime or by the post-communist 7501 is over 8 billion euros.
We are aware that without a mechanism that unblocks this situation once and for all, Albania survives but cannot develop.
