Prime Minister Edi Rama also focused on the opening of negotiations, where he said that the European Union did not have the desire, but now the EU wants Albania to enter the EU after it has done its homework.
He also spoke about the recognition of pensions for Albanians living in Greece. The Prime Minister said that if we enter the EU, pensions will be recognized automatically.
'Those who are abroad and want their pensions recognized, especially in Greece, where some do not have documents and are stressed about what they will do with those years of work, but the moment we enter the EU they automatically receive a passport and do not need documents and their years of work are recognized for pensions and they can make the transfer from here to there or from there to here. But someone may say we can go to the EU and get the passport even by voting for the swamp because they also say this, we will take the country to the EU without getting into the problems of the owl, which has the mark on the flower of the forehead and I don't know how anyone can imagine that the doors of communication will be open like I have with the majority of the government.
We have been dreaming of being like the rest of Europe since 1990. Since '92 we have been trying to join the EU, but we have done our homework and despite this, the European Commission said 3 times in a row, look, there are some other problems, so there was no desire on their part to open the door for us and accept us as we are today.
For the first time, they want us to join the EU and to join as soon as possible, not because they fell into my love but because we have done our duties. When we first took office it was terrible, they did not look us in the eye with what we say now and they had neither respect nor trust for us. They want to expand the EU and take in new members and the new members closest to the door are Albania and Montenegro.
