Historian Nevila Nika, Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidate for Tirana

Prof. Dr. Nevila Nika, one of the most prominent names in Albanian history and archival studies, will be part of the May 11 electoral race with the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, lining up on the open list alongside Lulzim Basha in Tirana.
With a long academic and managerial career, Prof. Nika has been the director of the Central State Archives, making an important contribution to the preservation and promotion of the national historical heritage. She has also been recognized internationally, receiving the “Stella d'Italia di grado cavaliere” medal from the President of Italy in 2017, for strengthening Albanian-Italian relations.
Her involvement in politics comes as a commitment to a fairer Albania, where academic and historical values are part of decision-making. Her candidacy in the May 11 elections is expected to bring a new approach to politics, representing an independent voice committed to the public interest.
