Former DP candidate for MP, Julia Ilirjani, joins the Salijanj movement: We no

Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, has gathered in a meeting in Tirana democrats, structures and supporters who are seeking a new path for the opposition.

One of the surprises of this meeting was the joining of this movement by the well-known actress Julia Ilirjani, a former candidate for deputy of the Democratic Party in the last elections.

Ilirjani drew a parallel between the new generation of democrats who filled the hall and the student movement of December 1990 that overthrew the dictatorship.

The actress said that the energy of the young people who support this new movement within the DP shows that the spirit of change has not died out and that success will come precisely from the unity of people who share the same ideals.

"When I was invited to speak here, I thought of some appropriate words for this meeting, but now that I am here and see all these young men and women, I remember the year 1990. Then when a small group of students spoke, insisted and created a new party that was the DP. At that time, it was not supported by the government of that time and many others, but the insistence of those young people was supported by their peers, by the rest of the youth, and flooded the streets of Tirana and Albania. I think that these young people here will do the same thing as then," declared Ilirjani.

Further, the former candidate for MP stated that the Democrats are tired of successive political failures and that the time has come for the opposition to embark on a path that guarantees only victory and the overthrow of the majority.

"These young people will be supported first by each other, by their peers, and then this movement will descend like a hurricane throughout Albania. We can no longer accept defeat after defeat, but we want and will achieve victory! Long live democracy, long live Albania!" Julia Ilirjani concluded amid applause.
