Girls' Championship / Vllaznia declared champion of Albania after 2-0 triumph over Apolonia

Vllaznia has been declared champion of the 2025-2026 edition of the girls' football championship, after triumphing 2-0 over Apolonia in the final played this afternoon at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium.

Thanks to this triumph, the red and blue team secured their 13th consecutive championship trophy. Captain Megi Doçi opened the challenge in the first half, giving Vllaznia the advantage after a hard-fought 45 minutes with chances from both teams.

In the second half, Apolonia tried to get back into the game, but the Shkodra girls managed the advantage well and in the 81st minute, Teresa Deda scored the second goal, which sealed the victory and the championship title for Vllaznia.

After the end of the meeting, the medal and trophy presentation ceremony took place. The Vice-President of the Albanian Football Association, Lutfi Nuri, and the member of the Albanian Football Association Executive Committee, Anila Basha, presented the medals and the trophy to the champion team.

Thanks to the increase in Albania's coefficient in UEFA, our country will be represented by two teams in the UEFA Women's Champions League. The champion Vllaznia will compete in the "Champions Path", while Apolonia, as the team ranked in second place in the championship, will participate in the "League Path". Both teams will start their European adventure from the second qualifying round.
