Teenager dies in waterfall during heatwave, 12th victim in Britain

A teenage boy in Scotland has become the 12th victim linked to water-related incidents during the latest heatwave that has gripped the UK.
According to authorities, police were notified at around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday of a person in distress in the Bracklinn Falls area, in Stirlingshire, Scotland. After the intervention of emergency services, the teenager was found without signs of life.
A Police Scotland spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious and that the case would be referred to the Crown Procurator Fiscal for appropriate proceedings.
Bracklinn Falls is located within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, a popular tourist area that attracts many visitors, especially during periods of high temperatures.
The incident is just the latest in a series of tragic accidents recorded in recent days. Other casualties have been reported in several areas of Britain, including South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Cornwall, Hampshire, Warwickshire, Cheshire, Pembrokeshire, Lincolnshire and Lancashire.
Authorities have called for increased caution near rivers, lakes and other water areas, as high temperatures have prompted many people to seek coolness in the water, increasing the risk of accidents.
