"You said we would win, why didn't you talk about theft before the elections?"/Balliu: We can't arrest people...

The elected DP MP, Klevis Balliu, was invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, where he spoke about what this party calls "electoral massacre".
Balliu was asked by journalist Andi Tela why they did not denounce the problems earlier, but the DP's statements were that they were heading towards victory.
Andi Tela: During the campaign, cases of electoral crime were identified but remained within the framework of denunciations. In public opinion among you, it was clear that facing this government was difficult, because there is money, mafia, SPAK under control and everything. Now why did you enter the elections with the hope and the impregnation of the opinion that you will win the elections, being convinced that you will not win and now you say we lost but we lost because we have the regime. Why didn't you enter denouncing what was happening? This disappointment after the elections is heavier than the sincerity that we will enter with as many opportunities as we have, we will denounce and in the end we will take stock. But convinced that there are no free elections in this country.
Klevis Balliu : There are three statements by the party chairman during the campaign, which emphasizes that this man does not allow elections. There is a conference on expenses. And 6 statements from the headquarters and the scene during the campaign for the electoral asphalt. Even on the DP website, for every report made to SPAK it was in the context of this. Without a doubt, you could not expect that if we entered the race to say about the qokë. We entered to win, trying to do our best to prevent theft and abuse. But we do not have the authority to arrest this gentleman who I caught red-handed. I found him again 5 days later in a polling station. A government that comes with theft, does not give an account, that is why we have not been able to face a socialist for many years. They do not give an account, they take the vote with pressure. They have closed the process.
Andi Tela : What had to happen for the DP to win the elections?
Klevis Balliu : I expected that the attention of the international community and, so to speak, a more massive participation in the elections, would manage to reduce the possibility of electoral abuse. I noticed and I still see it with regret. You know that the international factor has an important role, but acting as if nothing happened does great harm. The 12 political leaders of the regions are collecting files to take the facts and evidence to international offices.
Andi Tela: I asked what had to happen for the DP to win, because you knew this...
