Concerts and sponsorships costing around 2.4 million euros from the Municipality of Tirana, SPAK, land on businesses linked to Arbër Veliaj

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has advanced with the investigations regarding the activity and benefits of the company “Gogel” sh.pk, which results in the name of Arbër Veliaj, brother of Erion Veliaj. In the framework of these investigations, SPAK has also undertaken several investigative actions in several other companies closely related to the company “Gogel”.
According to sources, it is learned that SPAK has discovered financial relationships between the Municipality of Tirana, the company "One Albania" sh.a. and the company "Gogel" sh.pk. Within the framework of these investigations, several commercial and financial connections have been identified with several companies that had financial agreements during the years 2020–2024. These companies have received funds for various activities that the Municipality of Tirana has organized.
The verifications conducted show that these entities, in addition to their relations with public institutions, have had continuous financial interactions with the company "Gogel" sh.pk, which is owned by Arbër Veliaj, brother of Erion Veliaj, currently a defendant on 13 charges.
From the review of some documentation seized by SPAK, it results that for four years the Municipality has provided 2.4 million euros for artistic and cultural activities, as well as for sponsorships.
From the analysis of the data declared on the Central Portal of Control and Management (Fiscalization), it results that the company "Arts Lab" sh.pk, with administrator Erald Simixhiu, who turns out to be a close family relation of Ajola Xoxa, has registered a series of sales invoices during 2024, including one with a commercial entity, worth 698,285 lek.
ARBÈR VELIAJ ON THE PLANE
While the Special Prosecution Office has conducted these investigative operations, "Ora News" has obtained footage of Arbër Veliaj on the plane, according to sources, on the Tirana-Vienna route, where it is believed that his business offices are also located.
The photos are from recent days, but what remains unclear from the same sources is whether the ticket purchased by Arbër Veliaj is only for "one-way" travel, or for "round-trip" travel.
