"Partizani"/ GJKKO will decide today whether Berisha and Malltezi will

The GJKKO will hold a preliminary session today for the "Partizani" file, where it will be decided whether former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi will go to trial.

In this session, which will be held at 11:30, Judge Floreja Davidhi will review the transfer of the file to trial for defendants Berisha, Malltezi, Fatmir Bektashi, Xhimi Begeja and Andia Pustina.

Berisha's defense attorneys have attempted to delay the trial, while also accusing the preliminary investigation judge, Irena Gjoka, of an alleged conviction in Greece for document forgery.

At the May 5th hearing, Berisha's defense requested the revocation of the decision on the invalidity of some evidence, claiming that any decision by Judge Gjoka would be invalid if the conviction document is authentic.

Also, on May 13, the GJKKO rejected the request to exclude Judge Floreja Davidhi from the case file.
