DP, hunger strike inside Parliament? Klevis Balliu: We need to think carefully...
Klevis Balliu, a member of parliament from the Democratic Party, invited to the "Off the Record" studio with Andrea Dangli, on A2 CNN, was asked if he would agree to a hunger strike inside Parliament as part of the opposition's strategy.
His answer was as follows: "I think we should try everything. Nothing should be ruled out. We simply need to think carefully about every act we take and we need to make long-term plans for our political action. I think that it is essential at this time to inform the international community about Edi Rama's electoral crime and the links he has with organized crime."
"There is disinformation through some SP backstage who only travel around the world to misinform our country's allies. This approach must be combined with other actions," declared Balliu.
When asked what will happen during the summer, Balliu said: "We have protested during the summer, but it is not the mission of the opposition to just protest. The opposition will not be able to do anything if society does not support a plan to bring about free and fair elections. Let the opposition do whatever it wants. Democracies are born from civic revolt in every country."
