The Special Court's appeal has upheld the "house arrest" security measure for Jamarbër Malltez, accused of the "Partizani" case.
Sali Berisha's son-in-law has been under house arrest since November 2023, after the black squads replaced the measure imposed on him from "prison arrest" to house arrest.
We recall that Sali Berisha is under investigation for the criminal offense of corruption along with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, who is accused by SPAK of having illegally benefited from income worth 5.4 million euros from a construction business thanks to government decisions made by his father-in-law.
Both Berisha and Malltezi have denied the allegations and described the investigation as orchestrated by Prime Minister Edi Rama. The DP leader and his supporters have also described the move as an attempt to eliminate the opposition.
