We are just a few minutes away from the official start of the opposition protest against the closure of the social platform TikTok.

Journalist Osman Stafa reports that the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, will leave his apartment to later join the young people, who have begun to gather.

Meanwhile, the protest has put the State Police on alert. Police sources indicate that over 800 police forces, starting from those of order, FNSH, and Shqiponjat, will be on the ground for the smooth running of the protest. RENEA forces will also be on alert in case of need.

Meanwhile, during the protest, all officers will be equipped with gas masks. There will also be 5 water tankers if needed in case of incidents.

As in every protest, a cordon of police officers will be created in front of the prime minister's office and the perimeter around it.

Civilian agents will also be involved in the field, to monitor the progress of the protest. The doors of the Prime Minister's Office will be armored with metal cladding. The police have installed high-resolution cameras along the entire 'Dëshmorët e Kombit' boulevard.

Police Chief Ilir Proda held a meeting yesterday with his subordinates regarding the progress of order and security by the police during the protest. The police chief gave instructions regarding the duties of the police to maintain order and security and the progress of the protest. It is reported that Proda asked his subordinates to be careful and not to be provoked by the protesters and to maintain calm. The Director General also asked that interventions be minimized only in cases of need and not to create provoked clashes.
