SP MP Erion Braçe, asked by the media before the start of the plenary session of the Albanian Parliament, stated that when there is news about his ambition to head the municipality of Tirana, he will make it known publicly.

Braçe said that "things said at home stay there."

"I have spoken within the SP Assembly in Unit 5," said the socialist MP as he described as formal the request he has made to the CEC for his vote results, since 1996 when he was first elected as a deputy of the Albanian Parliament.

"On May 26, I will be 30 years old as an elected member of the Albanian Parliament, despite the results of the '96-'97 elections not being found anywhere, I am forced to ask the CEC. I will write a status. You will see," said Braçe.

Sources within the SP parliamentary group meeting, which was held on Saturday at the Brigades Palace, say that Brace stated that, "as you understood yourself, this situation can no longer be like this."

"They cannot find a solution to the problems that the Socialists have and there is a need for a different organization. So in this situation I will come out to ask for the support of the Socialists not only in unit 5, but in all of Tirana...", MP Erion Braçe is reported to have said during the meeting of the SP parliamentary group.

For his part, Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to maintain Minister Ogerta Manastirliu as the most potential and preferential name for the capital's race.
