Through a reaction on the Facebook social network, the head of PD-Euroatlantic Democrats Vlorë, Gjergji Nika, who is also one of the most active voices in the city's Municipal Council, denounced the arrogance, illegality and mockery that Vlorë Municipality makes with its citizens.
"The SP, which has the majority in the Council today, has insulted and mocked the Vlonia electorate and has insulted all the citizens of Vlonia without exception." - says Nika.
Further, after clarifying the situation, Nika guarantees the people of Vlonia that he, together with other representatives of the opposition group and Euro-Atlantic, will be the voice of the citizens and denunciators of any illegality, being in front of the government in defense of the interests of the people.

Today, at the meeting of the Municipal Council of Vlora, a real scandal happened!
The SP, which has the majority in the Council today, has insulted and mocked the Vlonia electorate and has insulted all the citizens of Vlonia without exception.
In more detail:
In the extraordinary meeting of October 21, 2024, the opposition demanded responsibility for the flooding of the city of Vlora and the extraordinary material and moral damages suffered by the citizens and businesses of Vlora.
The relevant directors were asked to come to the next meeting, on October 28, with the relations, where they answered the questions and demands of the opposition in the Municipal Council.
The director of Vlorë Water and Sewerage was asked to do the same. The director in question did not come.
Arrogant attitude and harbut!
Meanwhile, the leaders of the Municipal Council requested, contrary to the regulation, which states that the next meeting begins with the tasks left in the previous meeting, to vote on the next day's agenda.
After the vote, which came out, 22 in favor of the new agenda and 13 against, that is, after the agenda proposed by the majority in the council was rejected, the opposition left. The meeting could no longer continue, as the quorum was not reached!
After that, the conference of the presidents was convened, where they sought an agreement, which, after they could not get it, they continued the meeting with their staff.
Under these conditions, the leaders of the municipal council proposed a "vacation". And they urgently called 3-4 councilors to reach the quorum of 26 members and continued the meeting as they pleased.
Even this arrogant and arrogant attitude!
This unusual situation shows not only the incompetence, arrogance and illegality of this majority in the city of Vlora, but also the mockery, insult and trampling on the citizens of Vlora, who have mandated the opposition with their vote to protect their rights!
From today, the citizens of Vlora must take a good look at every decision of the Municipal Council and decide with their vote if they will accept being mocked and trampled on by this majority that openly violates the laws!
Such events, for the sake of truth, no longer impress us. Who knows how many cases of arrogant behavior of the administration, which the citizens face! Hard to knock on an office and not curse the trouble that got you there.
Arrogance has become the main characteristic, a mode of behavior and leadership in today's administration.
We didn't find out a thing we don't know. But the more fundamental question is: why the elected of the majority, the "leaders" of this majority, without any exception, have so much fun and desire to openly demonstrate their arrogance, preferably in front of the cameras? To satisfy the militants? Or the leaders of the party? To be on the list of MPs? To scare ordinary citizens with their aggressiveness? Or to amuse us, as we see how funny and stupid they are when they publicly insult and humiliate ordinary citizens and their vote?
The above questions probably do not need answers, they are rhetorical. And even if it is so, you cannot remain silent and not ask yourself: how is it possible that high officials are not afraid, do not feel the least bit shy and ashamed of the possible punishment of public opinion, of the vote, of the elections , how does it happen in all democratic societies?
Maybe they are convinced that the citizens, we today's voters, have been and remain in these 34 years of democracy as unengraved, as to accept to have in charge, by voting "freely", such "strong leaders ", vain, arrogant, haughty and arrogant?
What do they remember: "That we don't have the same mindset, as in the dictatorship, when the abused applauded the abuser?"
To be sure of one thing, all those who are removed as "opposition sympathizers": THEY WILL BE AGAINST US!
