DP MP and candidate on the open lists in the Tirana district for May 11, Jorida Tabaku, is today invited to the show "This Week" with Nisida Tufa on News24.
She spoke about the launch of the campaign, and the life divided between politics and family, an often difficult "job" given the intensity of this period, when we are only a little over a month away from the May 11 election date.
One of the issues that created surprise was the fact that despite coming out as the most voted candidate in the Primary, Tabaku was placed on the open lists of the DP for May 11th.
According to her, such a decision had been previously made known to her by DP leader Sali Berisha in a long preliminary conversation, before the matter went to the presidency.
"If you do what you do with your heart, I believe that there is always a way, a solution. It has been a while since even in the difficult period of the DP you think, is this the place I want to work? But then a spark happens that gives you confidence. With the release of the lists, I could have had a feeling of reserve in myself, but I had support from citizens who gave me a strength that made me understand that in battles the strongest people emerge and in battles the strongest rise is.
I had a long conversation with Berisha and the release of the lists was not a surprise. I take things seriously. We had a Primary race where I was rated as the most voted lady, and I thought this was the process and it had to be taken into account. What is important is the support of the Democrats and the citizens. There are some moments that need to be passed.
In 2021 I was second on the Tirana list, but this has not stopped me from working for the DP 24 hours a day 100 percent and using this to grow ," said Tabaku.
