Wave of dismissals in the Municipality of Tirana, Anuela Ristani removes Veliaj's close associates

A new wave of dismissals is underway in the Municipality of Tirana, while the acting mayor, Anuela Ristani, has taken steps to remove a number of officials and employees close to Mayor Erion Veliaj.

Following the dismissal of Sara Goxhaj and Alban Dokushi, the Director of Protocol and the Director of Support Services have also left, along with a number of other employees, including drivers, secretaries, and support staff, some of whom have served in the municipality for more than a decade.

These moves come at a time of turmoil for the Municipality of Tirana, following the arrest of Veliaj and in anticipation of further developments on the political and institutional scene.
