J.Lo hosts AMA 2025, 10 years after the last time

Jennifer Lopez will host the 2025 American Music Awards, marking her return to the role in a decade since her last hosting role in 2015. The ceremony will take place on May 26, 2025, in Las Vegas and will air live on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET. Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, described Lopez as “extraordinary talent” and “incomparable stage presence,” noting that she is the ideal choice to host the show.

Lopez has a long history with the American Music Awards, starting with her first performance in 2001. She has performed at the event over ten times and has won three AMA awards: Best Female Pop/Rock Artist in 2003 and Best Latin Artist in 2007 and 2011.

In 2024, during the 50th anniversary celebration of the American Music Awards, Lopez recalled the excitement of her first appearance at the ceremony, describing the energy as "electrifying."

This year's ceremony will also include a special tribute to American troops, making the event even more meaningful.
