Scarlett Johansson makes it clear that Black Widow will not return to the MCU:

Scarlett Johansson made it clear in a recent interview that 'Black Widow' will not be returning to the MCU. Speaking to InStyle magazine, the 40-year-old Hollywood star stressed that Marvel fans should forget 'Natasha Romanoff', the MCU heroine she played on screen for 11 years.

It is noted that 'Black Widow' was sacrificed to obtain the coveted 'Sul Stone' in 2019's 'Avengers: Endgame'. Although Johansson later reprised her role in 2021's 'Black Widow', a prequel set years before "Endgame", she does not have her own epilogue goal.

"Natasha is dead. She's dead, okay? They just don't want to believe it and pretend she might come back," Johansson said, noting that her fans remain convinced that she will return to the MCU at some point.

Johansson believes that her heroine's death has great symbolism and should not be changed.

"I think the balance of the entire universe is in her hands. We should let her go. She saved the world. Let her have her heroic end , " she added.
