Chris Brown, accused of an assault that occurred two years ago, is released on bail

American singer Chris Brown has been released on bail by a London court after being charged with an incident that occurred in 2023, described as an "unprovoked attack" at a nightclub.
The 36-year-old faces a charge of grievous bodily harm after an alleged attack on music producer Abraham Diaw with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub in 2023.
Brown was arrested last week at a hotel in Manchester, after returning to Britain for the first time since the incident two years ago.
Southwark High Court decided to release him on bail, paving the way for the start of his world tour next month.
Brown was not present in court and has not yet been asked to plead guilty or not guilty to the charge.
He is due back in court on June 20.
Meanwhile, producer Abraham Diaw has filed a civil lawsuit against Brown, seeking $16 million in damages for alleged damages from the incident.
If convicted, Brown faces a maximum sentence of 16 years in prison.
This incident is another in a series of legal problems for the singer, who has previously faced charges of violence and misconduct.
