William and Harry's uncle leaves a staggering fortune, this is the main beneficiary

Lord Robert Fellowes, the uncle of Prince William and Prince Harry, died in July 2024 at the age of 82. A key figure in the British Royal Family for decades, he served as private secretary to Elizabeth II between 1990 and 1999 and, after his official retirement, remained associated with the monarchy as an additional knight of the Queen until his death in 2022.
Now, the will has come to light, revealing a surprising decision: neither William nor Harry are listed as beneficiaries. According to court documents, his entire estate, estimated at nearly £1.5 million, was left to his wife, Baroness Jane Fellowes, along with various donations to family, friends and charities.
The High Court granted permission for the execution of the will, dated June 2012, in mid-May. In it, Lord Fellowes left his assets and the income from his estate to his wife, but added a clause requiring the assets to be used for the “general advancement and benefit” of the family. This includes his three children: Alexander, Laura and Eleanor, who, along with Baroness Fellowes, will act as executors of the estate.
Other beneficiaries include Andrew Grange, who received €1,170, and several institutions: Tapping House hospice in West Snettisham, the Rhodes Trust, St Mary's Church and Eton College, who also received funds.
