Nowruz is the main holiday of the Bektashi community in our country, it is also celebrated in many countries of the Middle East, the Arab and Muslim world, known as the Persian New Year.
The day of Sultan Nowruz celebrates the birthday of Imam Ali in the Kaaba, in which according to legend everything is resurrected, hope is born and resurrection for humanity. It is a new day, when everyone hopes for a better future.
In Albania, Novruz is celebrated on March 22, but the Persian New Year begins on March 21, and in various countries around the world, celebrations take place from March 21 to March 24, according to localities.
The holiday is celebrated in all countries that were previously part of the Persian empire and later in the countries where these peoples settled.
As with other New Year holidays, this is a time of family reunion, exchanging gifts and visiting each other.
Preparations for the Novruz celebration include buying new clothes, wearing costumes with silver and gold ornaments.
