INSTAT: According to predictions, the green number for complaints is published

About 5,000 enumerators are in their second week of work counting the population and housing across the country.
The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) announced today that the Census, which began on September 18, 2023, is proceeding according to forecasts. The process takes 6 weeks in total.
No essential problems have appeared during these days and INSTAT's commitment is maximum to guarantee every citizen in the Republic of Albania the right to be counted.
From preliminary information on the ground, citizens have responded positively to the call to participate in the Census throughout the territory of Albania, said the General Director of INSTAT, Mrs. Elsa Dhuli.
"Until now, we have not encountered any problems or complaints related to data collection in the field. In addition to the staff engaged in collecting information in the field (surveyors, controllers and supervisors), INSTAT has also engaged civil service employees of INSTAT to monitor and provide solutions to potential problems in such a complex statistical process as the Population and Housing Census.

Përgjigjet ndaj anketuesve të INSTAT janë detyrim ligjor, por sigurisht një e drejtë qytetare për të kontribuar në zhvillimin e vendit duke marrë reforma dhe politika bazuar në shifra të sakta, tha Dhuli.
Çdo pretendim apo ankesë e çdo qytetari të cilit mund t’i jetë cenuar e drejta për t’u numëruar apo përgjigjur pyetjeve sensitive mbi etninë, fenë dhe gjuhën amtare mund të kontaktojnë në numrin jeshil të vendosur nga INSTAT (0800 22 44) ku deri tani ju informojmë se nuk ka pasur ankesa të tilla nga qytetarët. Ajo tha se INSTAT mirëpret çdo ankesë konkrete nga çdo individ, por theksoj se insinuatat dhe akuzat në ajër nuk e ndihmojnë procesin.
Censi i Popullsisë dhe Banesave 2023 do të jetë Censi i 12-të, që kur Shqipëria u shpall shtet i pavarur në vitin 1912, ku Censi i parë u krye në vitin 1923. Që prej Censit të vitit 1989, metodologjia e tij ka ndjekur gjithnjë e më shumë rekomandimet ndërkombëtare për kryerjen e Censit.
The 2023 Population and Housing Census aims to be in full compliance with the recommendations of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) for the 2020 round of Censuses and also with the latest EU regulations on the implementation of the Population Census and Apartments.
The Census of Population and Housing provides data on the official population count in a country, in the smallest geographical unit, together with information on a selected number of demographic, social and economic characteristics of the population. Similarly, the Census of Housing provides the official count of all dwellings in the country in the smallest geographic unit, along with information on a selected number of housing characteristics./MONITOR
