Europa League/ Nottingham defeats Aston Villa! Braga crushes Freiburg

The first two semi-final matches of the Europa League have ended with victories for the home teams, who have taken a step towards the grand final of the tournament. Nottingham managed to defeat Aston Villa 1-0, while Braga defeated Freiburg 2-1.
In the Premier League they are fighting for survival, while in the Europa League they are aiming for the grand final. Nottingham Forest are having one of the most extraordinary seasons in their history. Viktor Pereira's team managed to triumph in the first semi-final of the Europa League against Aston Villa with a score of 1 to 0.
In the first minutes, it was the visitors who had the opportunity to take the lead, but Nottingham's goalkeeper kept the goal intact.
The home team then took control of the game. In the 33rd minute they had the best chance to score, but goalkeeper Martinez made a fantastic save.
The decisive goal was scored by Chris Wood from the penalty spot, giving the English team the advantage for the return leg.
In Portugal, Braga defeated Freiburg in extra time with a score of 2-1. The Portuguese took the lead in the 8th minute through Tiknaz.
The Germans' reaction was quick, as 8 minutes later, Grifo restored the balance.
The Lusitanians had a golden chance to return to the lead with a penalty, but Zalazar missed from the penalty spot.
As the match drew to a close, Braga scored through Dorgeles in extra time to secure the home win and go into the second leg with a slight advantage. The second leg semi-finals will be played next week on 7 May.
