Inter challenge Juventus, in the lead for the talented Bosnian defender

A hot summer is expected at Inter, where the black and blue leaders are planning another important phase of the team's renewal, a process that began last season.
At the heart of this transformation is the defense, which is expected to undergo major changes. At the end of the season, Inter could lose three of their mainstays of recent years: Francesco Acerbi, Stefan De Vrij and Matteo Darmian, whose contracts expire in June.
Sporting director Piero Ausilio has begun the search for their replacements. The long list of alternatives includes several names, including Oumar Solet and Mario Gila, but in recent weeks one profile has gained a clear advantage. It is Tarik Muharemovic, currently part of Sassuolo, who also stood out with the Bosnian national team in the match against Italy.
Inter are reportedly leading the race for the 23-year-old's services, beating Juventus, who own 50% of the player's resale rights. This is an advantage for the Bianconeri, who could sign him for a lower fee compared to Sassuolo's valuation of around €30m.
However, the defender himself seems to prefer a move to Inter, which could speed up the start of negotiations between the two clubs. It is not ruled out that the deal could also include a player as part of the exchange, a practice known to Sassuolo, which traditionally invests in the development of young talent.
