Iran rejects US claim: No ships passed through Hormuz

The Iranian military has denied the US claim that two ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz. The spokesman for the Central Command of the Iranian military, Khatam al-Anbiya, stated: " The claim of the CENTCOM commander regarding the approach and entry of American ships into the Strait of Hormuz is strongly denied ."

" The activity and movement of every ship is under the control of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran ," he continues.

CENTCOM stated that two US ships “ have transited the Strait of Hormuz and operated in the Arabian Gulf as part of a broader mission to ensure that the strait is completely clear of naval mines previously laid by Iran and the Revolutionary Guard .”
