Lamine Yamal's leadership is unquestionable, as is his impact this season, excelling in big matches against Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan. Interest in him has been high, especially since last season, with many European clubs closely following him.

Deco considers Lamine's renewal as "the best summer purchase" for Barcelona and does not hide his desire to see him one day win the Ballon d'Or:

"I want him to win the Ballon d'Or. We have some players who can reach that level and Lamine is without a doubt one of them. Raphinha has had a spectacular season as well.

"But of course I would love for a Barcelona player to win this trophy."
