Portugal-Spain, Ronaldo's goal sends Nations League final into extra time

The final of this edition of the Nations League is being played at the "Allianz Arena", between Portugal and Spain.

Regular time ended in a 2-2 draw, with the winner to be determined after extra time or if penalties are necessary.

The match started off briskly for both teams, but the Spanish took the lead first in the 21st minute.

After a quick action by the Spaniards and a ball from Lamine Yamal inside the area, Martin Zubimendi takes advantage of the chaos created and sends the ball into the net.

Spain's advantage would not last long, as the Portuguese equalised through Nuno Mendes after five minutes.

The 22-year-old defender played the role of a true striker and equalized the score with a beautiful shot that ended up in Unai Simon's goal.

At the end of the first half, the Spanish took the lead again after a quick counterattack and a fantastic assist from Pedri for Oyarzabal, who sent the ball into Diogo Jota's goal for the second time. The first 45 minutes ended 1-2 for Spain.

In the 60th minute, it was Cristiano Ronaldo's turn to score and equalize. After a beautiful counterattack on the wing, Nuno Mendez crossed inside the area, the ball deflected off Le Normand and Cristiano Ronaldo, who was in the right place at the right time, sent the ball into the net.
