The Portuguese swears loyalty, Conceição: I won't give up! To

Despite the 15 players who left Milan due to commitments with their respective national teams, Sergio Conceicao continues to work with the remaining players at "Milanello". In focus, Sunday's match at 20:45 against Napoli at the "Maradona" stadium.

Participating in the "Coimbra Football Congress", the Portuguese coach of the "Devil" gave a short interview regarding these three months as a red and black player and the final objectives of the season in Italy.

Why did you choose to accept Milan's offer?  Because I wanted to go to one of the strongest championships in the world. I have the dream and the goal of winning the Champions League and that's why I chose my current club.

Did you expect to have so many problems?  I knew the difficulties I would encounter, in a context where I did not choose the team, where I do not have time to work as I want and with the obligation to win as many matches as possible. However, Milan is a historic club that could give me the opportunity to get closer to one of the objectives of my career, after having won so much in Portugal.

What do you think as a coach about today's football?  Like any sport, football is developing quickly. Today, all coaches like to build from the back. I also like to play wide, but for that you need players who can do this type of maneuver. At Porto I had a fantastic goalkeeper who made it possible, but I have to say that at Milan I also have one like that.

What are the biggest difficulties encountered in your experience at Milan?  When in 30 days we had to play nine games. We didn't have time to train, which is extremely difficult and means I can't give my identity to the team. After winning the Super Cup against Inter, we drew against Cagliari with an individual error, as it happens. Since then, new coaching names have been brought to the club every day.

What is the most complicated aspect of a coach's job?  A coach doesn't have to understand only football. If you only know football, you don't know anything. For a period of my life I had to help my family financially. I went to help a cousin sell at the market. I was also an introvert as a guy, but that period made me who I am today.

How many chances does Milan have to finish the season among the top four in the championship?  Until two weeks ago the chances were minimal, while with two consecutive victories and some competition problems it seems like the race is more open. The difficulties are numerous and I can't speak in percentages, however we have to win every match and in the end we will take the balance together. What is certain is that no one at Milan has given up on the objectives that we have left in the championship or even the Italian Cup.
