Apple introduces new innovations, with cautious approach to artificial

Apple unveiled its latest technologies and updates at its annual WWDC 2025 developer conference, avoiding the rush to fully enter the artificial intelligence race, unlike competitors such as Google and Samsung. The American company unveiled new “Liquid Glass” software, an aesthetically refreshed design, anti-spam technology and a live translation function, while the new features will not be available until the official release of iOS 26.

Contrary to expectations, Apple paid little attention to Siri at this conference. The company's representative, Craig Federighi, emphasized that further development of the virtual assistant takes time to maintain a high standard of quality. However, the company promised that AI will be integrated into several products to make the user experience easier and more personal.

Among the most notable innovations was the “Workout Buddy” feature for the Apple Watch, enhanced with artificial intelligence that analyzed fitness data and offered personalized advice. On the other hand, the “Liquid Glass” design brought a new look, with icons and menus that become partially transparent and react to the user’s movements.

On the communications front, Apple unveiled new spam filtering technology, as well as a live translation feature that integrates messages, phone calls, and FaceTime – a step toward more natural multilingual interaction.

Although Apple is leaving room for future improvements, analysts warn of the need for caution in how the company advances AI. “Apple needs to act carefully so as not to disappoint its loyal iPhone user base,” analyst Paolo Pescatore told Euronews Next, adding that, however, “the tight integration between hardware, software and services really stands out with this latest move.”

The company is expected to unveil new iPhone models later this year, in a period seen as a transition towards deepening artificial intelligence capabilities in its products.
