Murdered by brother-in-law in her room, parliamentary investigation into Arlinda Zekaj's case begins today

The Special Investigative Committee of the Kosovo Assembly meets today at 11:30 for the first time, to examine the circumstances of the murder of 49-year-old Arlinda Zekaj, who was killed on October 25 in Vitomirica, Peja.

The commission, led by Burim Ramadani, together with representatives of all political parties, will investigate the circumstances leading up to the murder, as well as the actions or inactions of the responsible institutions.

Arlinda had repeatedly reported violence and had sought protection from institutions. Her former brother-in-law, who was arrested on October 27 in Deçan, is suspected of the murder.
