The System's Tricky Dice: Rama and Berisha, or Edi and Saliu!

Sali Berisha appears on the screen. Monologue. In the background, the voice of his spokeswoman asks him questions as if they were from the audience. Berisha answers.

The questions are predictable, the answers even more so. Berisha ends.

After the commercial, Edi Rama appears immediately.

This time, not to do his typical sociopath monologues, but to advertise the new propaganda front: the new "Pasqyrë Albania" platform.

On the side are two associates who explain the practical side of the platform, while Rama deals with the rest: convincing us that this is another "miracle" of his government. Lots of propaganda, to cover up the abuses of billions of euros of the state budget by his narco-government.

Rama also ends. Advertisement. News.

And the ritual is repeated at another time interval.

This is the entire Albanian political universe that is offered to us on screen: Berisha and Rama. Rama and Berisha.

When one finishes the monologue, the other begins the presentation. When one tells us how he will save us, the other tells us how he is saving us. Both with a script, an audience, and the conviction that Albania begins and ends with them.

Thankfully, their television schedules don't clash, but apparently, they must have separated them by agreement so as not to disrupt each other's monotonous daily appearances on the political media stage. Not for nothing, but the public would also be destabilized by listening to two saviors at the same time!

Their goal is clearly clear: to revolve Albania around their economic interests.

And then we wonder why the country doesn't change!

Albania's problem is that these two impose the belief on the citizens that Albania does not exist without one of them. Therefore, I invite all Albanians to get out of this artificial trap of separation from these two figures (who are known as the privileged of the former dictatorial system before '90).

Let us unite without party differences, without nostalgia, and without fear, to end the monopoly of this caste that treats the state as property and power as an instrument of its own economic and private interests.

Albania is not the property of either Rama or Berisha.

Perhaps the day when we will no longer care which of them appears on the screen will be the day when Albania has finally begun to emerge from their shadow that holds the country hostage in this dirty political transition, of clientelistic relationships, narrow interests and influences of power groups, without independent institutions and without functional democracy.

The political transition cannot be considered complete as long as Albania continues to revolve around the same conflicts, the same interests, and the same political caste that constitutes the problem itself, against which citizens and students have revolted.

Rama and Berisha, despite their public clashes, remain the two central figures of a political reality that does not produce a break from the past. Behind this political structure lies the "prestanome" system where names like Mane, Kastrati and others are mentioned in the public debate as a cover for the economic benefits of the political caste.

Albania does not need the recycling of the same protagonists and the same interests, but the dismantling of a power model that hinders fair competition, the independence of institutions, democratic development and the functioning of the market economy.

Albania needs a new beginning, not a repetition of the same political spectacle. That's why citizens are protesting against them.
