Residents of Tropoja and Has block the Qafë-Prush border crossing, protesting the construction of the road: We will boycott the elections!

Residents of Tropoja and Has continued their protest for the second time this Monday regarding the depreciated 20 km Kam-Qaf Prush road, also blocking the entrance to the Qaf Prushi border crossing point in Has.
Representatives from 20 villages in the Has and Tropoja municipalities insistently demanded the reconstruction that connects the villages to the national axis, Krumë-Qaf Prush-Gjakovë, despite the promises that have been made over the last 30 years.
Residents said they will not vote on May 11 unless the 20 km impassable road serving 2,000 residents is paved.
The Mayor of Has Miftar Dauti was also present in support of the residents' protest. The road, built in 1938 for the exploitation of mineral resources, has not been maintained and is impassable due to potholes along its entire length.
