Names/ Two internationally wanted persons arrested in Kavaja and Durrës

During the last 24 hours, two operations have been finalized which have led to the arrest of two wanted citizens.
The two arrested were wanted by Italian authorities for criminal activity in the field of narcotics, crimes against the person and illegal possession of weapons.
Saimir Dakoli, 48, was arrested in Kavaja. The Venice/Italy Court of Appeals sentenced him to 7 years and 4 months in prison, of which he has 6 years, 4 months and 20 days left to serve, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in narcotics."
Elton Stafa, alias Elton Zani, alias Seit Stafa, alias Sadik Dervishi, alias Vladi Ymeri, alias Hasan Ymeri, 47 years old, resident of Shijak, was arrested in Durrës.
The Court of Appeal in Milan/Italy has sentenced him to 5 years and 7 months in prison, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury", "Possession of stolen goods" and "Unlicensed possession of weapons", as provided for by Italian criminal legislation.
Cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome continues to finalize the procedures for the extradition of the two captured citizens.
