Democratic leader Sali Berisha has called on the membership to participate in the elections taking place this Saturday, for the heads of the branches of the Democratic Party, and what this political force calls a referendum on the vote of confidence of the current leader.
Sali Berisha has no candidate facing him for the position of mayor, so the party has decided to call today's process a referendum that confirms the current leadership in office.
"I invite all democrats to fulfill this important statutory obligation, to fulfill this important obligation towards a more democratic process that exists, in all European and world parties, in part, excuse me," he said.
Accompanied by his wife Liri Berisha, he guaranteed the Democrats that he will fulfill the obligations arising from the statute with the greatest dedication. Asked about Ervin Salianj's message and the ballots where the Democrats have hand-marked his name, Sali Berisha considered the former MP a representative of crime.
"The antics of a representative of the criminal world cannot in any way taint this more democratic process in Albania. Representatives of the criminal world have no and will never have a place in this party. Our separation from them is for life or death," he stressed.
At the end of his speech, Sali Berisha reiterated again , "No one can think that they can consider the power in this party, the power of crime."
