EMRI/ Sentenced to over 9 years in prison for drug trafficking, 37-year-old arrested in Elbasan

A police operation has led to the arrest of Valmir Polis , 37, who was wanted after being sentenced to over 9 years in prison by the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC).
The police located the suspect in a deep area of the village of Pishkash, near Elbasan. As soon as he noticed the police services, he attempted to flee, but was caught and detained.
The Special Court of First Instance sentenced him to 9 years and 4 months in prison for the criminal offenses: "Trafficking in narcotics" and "Production and sale of narcotics" committed within the framework of a structured criminal group.
From this sentence, Valmir Polisi still has 4 years, 7 months and 18 days of imprisonment to serve.
After arrest, he will be handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons for further procedures.
