The football world is shocked, the former director of Vllaznia passes away after a heart attack

The football world was shocked this Monday by the news of Engin Firat's passing.

The former sports director of Vllaznia suffered a heart attack at Istanbul airport while returning from Beirut.

Firat had a rich career as a coach and sports director. With Vllaznia, he contributed in the 2018/19 season, helping the club return to the Superior Category. Most recently, Firat managed the Nejmeh team in Lebanon.

His international career also included managing the Moldova national team for a year and then Kenya for three years.

Firat passed away at the age of 55, leaving behind a prominent legacy in Albanian and international football.
