New details have emerged regarding the story that has been making headlines in the Albanian media for years, the sudden disappearance of Bleona Mata.
The recently provided evidence has paved the way for another lead, where the search for Bleona can begin.
In the documents provided by Report.tv, it is believed that Bleona was initially kidnapped and held hostage for the first 3 months in the village of Llakatund in Vlora.
On the other hand, Bleona's mother, in television appearances, stated that Bleona was kidnapped by several people with whom the Mata family has been in conflict for years.
"I don't know the couple from Vlora. I only met the girl's parents in Zapot, the day Bleona disappeared. My ex-father-in-law had a conflict with this family and in May 2010 he reported them to the police, " said Bukurie Veizi.
The photo of the couple's daughter from Vlora, suspected to be Bleona Mata, appeared on the screen, the latter's mother reveals the truth. After carefully examining the photo, she stated that the girl's features in the photo did not match Bleona's physical appearance. However, she added that despite the inconsistency of the features, she still suspects the disappearance of her daughter in the same family.
"The features don't match, but my suspicions remain about this family," she stated.
Although it has almost been 16 years since the mysterious disappearance of Bleona Mata, investigations into her whereabouts continue to this day.
Bleona Mata has been missing since May 22, 2010, when her last traces were lost on Mount Piklëmi, in the Kukës area. Bleona's mother has been asking for help for years to find her daughter, who was only 6 years old at the time.
