Uprising of DP MPs, Berisha withdraws from boycott of Reforms committees

After an uprising by several deputies in the DP parliamentary group, who have categorically expressed their opposition to the boycott of the Territorial and Electoral Reform Commissions, the urgently convened Small Presidency has taken a step back by deciding to return to the committees. The news was given by the co-chair of the Territorial Commission, Luciano Boçi, who stated that the DP will not abandon the Territorial and Electoral Reform Commissions.
“The expressed position of the DP after the discussions in the Small Presidency is that the DP will continue to be part of the Territorial and Electoral Commission and will continue with the agenda of the committees.

We are not boycotting the commission, we will announce the willingness of the DP group to support this important reform.

In the parliamentary group we discuss in a democratic manner, there were thoughts of abandoning it, but the most important Committee is the Mandates Committee.

"There must be an exit and it must be consensual, otherwise it was a predetermined process," said Boçi.
