Listed on the most dangerous list, Franc Çopja's wife comes to his defense: A loyal man, he never raised his voice

Yesterday, a hearing was held in Brussels for the murder of Ardit Spahiu, while the wife of Franc Çopja, who is the main accused in the November 27 murder in Molenbeek, gave her testimony via video call, as she is in the United Arab Emirates.
She described him as a loyal, "non-aggressive" man who "never raised his voice." She also stressed that she was not aware of any criminal activity by the accused and said that her husband is innocent.
Also in this session, another Albanian, Shretas from Elbasan, the victim's birthplace, testified again via video call. He stated that he knew both families, who had a conflict between them, a conflict that had started since December 2018.
The judge asked this witness about a 2017 fight involving Franc Çopja. The witness said it was just a “small disagreement” and a “simple fight” that escalated. The judge further added that the fight had been reported in the Albanian media, where it was said that weapons had been used.
The witness said that part of the testimony given on Monday by the brother of the victim's brother's wife, who is a member of the Alibej family, is false. Meanwhile, a DNA expert testified that no genetic material was found at the scene, except for that of Ardit Spahiu and the driver of the vehicle.
We recall that Çopja is accused of being the organizer and mastermind of the murder, as well as the leader of a structured criminal group. On December 30, 2023, he was extradited from Dubai to Belgium and has been in Haren prison since that moment. Meanwhile, the Albanian authorities have issued an arrest warrant against him since September 3, 2024.
