Korça Border Police have identified and detained 16 illegal immigrants, of different ages and nationalities, who were sheltering in an abandoned building in the village of Qatrom.

According to preliminary information, the emigrants were hiding in a building near the Qatrom tekke.

During the police intervention, it was determined that one of them had health problems, having sprained his leg.

Sources indicate that the Korça Border Police has increased controls in the area, with a focus on identifying illegal immigrants and identifying persons suspected of helping these citizens move towards Tirana or other cities in the country.
