Assassination in Rrilë, Lezha, 4 people wanted

Lezha police have announced a search for four people in connection with the attack that occurred on Sunday evening in the village of Rrilë, where a barbershop was shot with a barrage of gunfire and its owner, 30-year-old Sokol Daci , was seriously injured .
According to the investigation, the target of the assassination was not the barber, but two young men from the Nikulaj tribe, who were in the barbershop at the time of the attack. One of them was Merando Nikulaj , 21 years old, the nephew of businessman Ardian Nikulaj who was killed in Shëngjin in 2023. Ardian Nikulaj's son is also suspected to have been in the shop, but it is not yet known whether the police have managed to question him.
The incident occurred at around 9:00 PM, when a barrage of Kalashnikov and pistol shots was fired from the street towards the barbershop. Over 30 bullets were fired at the bar, three of which wounded the barbershop owner. He received 5 bullets: two in the chest, two in the abdomen and one in the leg, and is in serious condition at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
Police suspect that Merando Nikulaj was also injured, as he is seen struggling to leave the scene in the footage. However, he has not been taken to any hospital or private clinic and is currently unaccounted for.
The police officer, Besart Kovaçi , who has already been arrested and was accompanying Merando Nikulaj, was in the barbershop. He fired his service weapon at the perpetrators of the assassination. The verifications show that 10 bullets were fired from his weapon, out of the 15 he had in his gun, only 5 bullets remained in his comb.
" Regarding the incident that occurred on 01.02.2026, at around 21:00, in the village of Rrilë, Shenkoll Administrative Unit, Lezhë Municipality, where a citizen was injured by gunfire, the Special Investigation Group of the Lezhë DVP, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has intensively continued the investigations with the aim of clarifying the incident, legal documentation, identification and arrest of the perpetrators.
Following the actions, the detention order issued by the Prosecutor was executed for citizen BK, 24 years old, resident of the village of Dragushë, Dajç Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
" From the entirety of the investigative and procedural actions, it has resulted that citizens GN, EN, KN and MN are included as suspects in this incident, and they have been declared wanted, " the police announced.
16 pistol casings were found inside the premises, 10 suspected to belong to the policeman's weapon and 6 from another weapon that has not yet been identified. Investigators also suspect the use of a third weapon.
Security camera footage captured two vehicles, an Audi and a Passat, from which seven people got out, two of them armed with Kalashnikovs. After the attack, the perpetrators quickly fled the area, using alternative routes to escape pursuit.
